Flu vaccination

Seasonal flu occurs every year usually in the winter.  It’s a highly infectious disease caused by a virus.  The most likely viruses that will cause flu each year are identified in advance and vaccines are then produced that closely match them.

If you:

  • are aged over 65
  • are Pregnant
  • have a long-term medical condition such as diabetes, heart disease, lung disease, kidney disease or a neurological disease
  • are a carer

and would like to have the vaccination please telephone the practice to arrange an appointment.  If, after consideration, you do not wish to be vaccinated please could you let us know so that this information can be recorded on your medical records.

The annual nasal spray flu vaccine will be available for all children aged two, three and four years old on 31.08.2015 we will be contacting you shortly to book your child in for this vaccination.
